FAQ
WEDDING FAQ:
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY WEDDING DAY MAKEUP AND HAIR SERVICES?
Six months in advance is suggested, however feel free to reach out any time as we may be able to accommodate last minute bookings. However, Last minute bookings may not allow the possibility of a trial.
Peak season for weddings is July through September. Those dates book up quickly so request your services as soon as you know your summer wedding date.
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY TRIAL?
Booking a trial is your wedding day dress rehearsal. Trials give us the opportunity to experiment and refine beforehand, so things run smoothly on your big day. By booking a hair and makeup trial we get to know you and your unique needs better. Wedding trials are highly encouraged but not mandatory. Members of your wedding party may request a trial as well, however, this is not recommended. Dates for Brides, Grooms and “Spouses to be” take priority.
You should book your trial as soon as you have secured your wedding day with us. Choosing a date around 3 months in advance for a trial is a good timeframe; as dates closer to the wedding may not be available. In the case of last minute bookings trial dates may not be available before the date of your wedding.
WHO SHOULD BOOK MAKEUP AND HAIR SERVICES FOR THE DAY OF THE WEDDING?
We suggest that all members of a wedding party book hair and makeup services for the day of the wedding. This ensures everyone looks equally fantastic and camera ready!
Pro tip: Don't overlook grandparents and parents of the “spouses to be” when booking your hair and makeup services. They will be appearing in many photos throughout the day and they want to look their best too!
We also offer a separate makeup service for flower girls and the younger members of your wedding party!
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT MY TRIAL?
The location and time of your trial will be agreed upon after booking. Once you have booked your trial you will be sent an email with all the information and best practices to prepare for your trial. Your Makeup trial will be approximately 1.5 hours. During your trial we will discus your ideas and the vibe of your wedding and then execute a look. Trials are for experimentation and exploration to help find the look that is uniquely you. If you change your mind and want to change something come the day of the wedding, it’s ok! Any tweaks or changes are totally welcome!
HOW LONG WILL MY MAKEUP TAKE?
After your consultation or trial we can better determine how long your service will take. On average a regular beauty makeup service is about 45 minutes to an hour, However more time is allowed for the bride, or “spouse to be” to ensure things are relaxed and there is time for potential adjustments.
DO YOU ACCOMMODATE LARGE WEDDING PARTIES?
Yes, I work with a team of exceptionally skilled makeup artist and hair stylists that I can bring on to accommodate a large wedding party. Some smaller parties may require a second artist due to time constraints. You are welcome to find an additional artist on your own, however, the team I work with is reliable, highly skilled and I trust their caliber of work.
DO YOU COVER TATTOOS?
No makeup product is 100% transfer proof and there are multiple complicated variables when it comes to completing a successful tattoo coverup. Unfortunately client expectations of this often do not match the outcome, so at this time I have decide to NOT offer this as a service.
DO YOU STAY FOR TOUCH UPS?
